The toolkit on stroke is designed to be used by lay health educators (promotores de salud), community leaders, and healthcare professionals to educate Hispanics about the signs of stroke and the importance of calling 911 promptly. This boxed toolkit includes a 13-minute Spanish-language DVD and videotape as well as Spanish-language brochures. The toolkit also includes a bilingual, laminated, stand-alone flipchart (14" x 17"), which graphically illustrates the different types of stroke, risk factors, and symptoms.
Esta caja de herramientas fue creada para el uso de educadores de la salud (promotores), líderes de la comunidad y profesionales de la salud con el objetivo de educar a la comunidad hispana sobre los síntomas de la un ataque cerebral y la importancia de llamar al 911 de forma inmediata. Esta caja de herramientas contiene un video en español de 13 minutos de duración, un DVD y folletos en español. También contiene un rotafolio laminado en inglés y español (de 14 x 17 pulgadas) que utiliza gráficos para explicar los distintos tipos de ataques cerebrales, los factores de riesgo y los síntomas repentinos.
